This is an excerpt from an ESPN message board concerning slugger Rafael Palmeiro during today's Congressional Hearing on steroid use in baseball.

Dave (Denver) Raphy is the only one who is coming off as extremely credible.
Alfredo (Alicante, Spain) Palmeiro is a simple guy, a family man
SHOWGIRL Raefy came across as very modest and candid. That goes a long way in something like this.
Andy (Chaska) What made me respect Palmero in all this is that he sat right there and said: I NEVER took steroids. And when asked about testing said: Whatever testing they come up with I will abide by. That's what I want to hear. He isn't afraid because he KNOWS he's clean.
Jeff (LA) I think we all know what performance enhancing drug Palmeiro is on, and it ain't steroids!

I only got to see the executives talk live; I'll forgo my comments on baseball players and officials, but I did notice that quite a few Congressman are real assholes.

Having a job is great. With receipt of my first paycheck and my relocation benefits, my income has exceeded the sum total of all my expenses from May 2003 to July 2004. I owe some people money.
