I have arrived tired, but safe and I am hoping that my luggage will complete its journey (wherever that may have been) and join me tomorrow.
I went to the Shoprite to buy some shampoo and I ran into Allison from the Embassy. She’s having a party tomorrow, so I should be able to get reacquainted with the old expats and meet the new.
I’m staying at Lancer’s tonight since Daniella’s in Jo’burg for the weekend. Now that I haven’t been eating it every other day for 4 months, I rather enjoyed the Lancer’s chef salad I had for lunch. It’s nearly 6:00, and I’m completely exhausted, so I think I’ll eat some goldfish I brought with me and go to bed.

I leave in just three days for a five week trip to Lesotho. I did so good and got all my errands done yesterday. And then... in my first ten minutes of work today my only pair of brown shoes broke. I guess I should know better than to think that I could be prepared ahead of time. So just one more trip downtown and I'll be on my way :o). Oh yeah, and I got a digital camera, so I'll be a bit crazy with the pictures.

| This is the weblog of Lauren Babich. As an employee at Boston University's School of Public Health, I work on several projects in Lesotho aimed at building the country's capacity to mount an effective response to HIV/AIDS. Here you can read the account of my adventures in Lesotho, which started as a student in January of 2004. Hope you enjoy! |
